You'll need the HM: Cut to make it through here to the next city! The Wild Pokémon here are far milder in temper compared to those of Fuego Fields, so they shouldn't cause you trouble. The plains of wheat and grain are dauntingly endless, but don't lose hope. Just get to cutting-- Sunrise Valley awaits you!

Route Four is of an extremely serene climate, cool and moist from river mist. Route Four is an ideal fishing spot, as many Water Pokémon inhabit the streams with fishermen constantly searching for them. The streams wind and twist, emptying into a large river situated along the town known as Pearl River, where the third Kanoan Badge awaits.

The river-side town of Pearl River is a bubbling place, running along the Pearl River; the largest river in Kanoa which empties into the sea by Rubenstone Harbor, and for which the town is named. Pearl River is home to the third Kanoan Badge, as well as the second Kanoan Ribbon; the Stream Badge and the Solstice Ribbon.

A humid, boggy atmosphere is the first to greet you along the Teeki Teeki Wetlands. It's an interesting, curious place, to say the least. The Wetlands are composed of several swamps and bogs-- originating from the Pearl River-- lining a path that leads from the mild Pearl River to the eccentric Tamarin Town. Careful to not lose your way in these sticky mires!

Small and underpopulated Tamarin Town is filled with superstitious denizens. Supernatural phenomena is said to occur here often and indeed, is believed to be the primary reason for Tamarin Town's existence. The fourth Kanoan Badge, as well as the third Kanoan Ribbon, wait here, but you must triumph before either Eldred or Mythalda in order to receive it. …Wait, what's that white hand on your shoulder?!

A glen of dark firs and pines stretch before you, marking the edge of Tamarin Town. This is Spirea Forest, a curious place indeed, where all manner of paranormal occurrences are said to happen. The trees are filled with Dark and Ghost Pokémon and most of them are not pleased that you've trespassed upon their forest… And you haven't even met the spirits yet!

Welcome to Bellevale City-- Kanoa's largest and most prosperous metropolis! This place is filled with places to go, people to see, and things to do; there's never a dull moment in the city of Bellevale! Among other attractions, there is apparently a peculiar old woman who may give you the HM: Flash! The city is also home to the electric dynamite Gym Leader, Jaelyn, and the poised Hall Leader, Cora. You've come a long way-- enjoy your stay in Bellevale City!

The climate has been shifting steadily to colder weather since you entered Spirea Forest, but now it all suddenly comes to a head as a large icecap stretches in front of you. Aurora Geysers is one of Kanoa's natural wonders, and quite a wonder it is! Ice and Water Pokémon come once a week to witness the powerful eruptions of the geysers. Beyond these geysers, you'll eventually get to Pinealle Lodge.

Pinealle Lodge is a small village on the edge of Aurora Geysers and right at the foot of Brivado Slopes. As such, it is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders. Coordinators can win their fifth Ribbon here by competing against Rudolf and his snowy companions!

The fifth official route of Kanoa, Andara Way, is sparse and barren with little vegetation. There are a number of, normally leafless, twisted trees along this route, with Flying Pokémon flitting from tree to tree. They adore it here for some reason. If you look hard enough, you might find the Medicine Man, who is said to have quite a few useful tips and items for wandering travelers; but don't stay too long, for Havvel Cove awaits your arrival!

Rubenstone Harbor is a constantly busy place, filled with sea-hardened individuals who have spent their lives near the big blue. All the citizens here believe in hardship, inspired by the Gym Leader, Malory. Energyroots, as well as other strength-enhancing formulas, are staples here. The Force Badge awaits those Trainers who have made it this far. Rumor also has it that there is a quirky sailor man here who will give travelers the HM: Surf… That might be worth looking into.

Voyaging Across the Sea
[ ]Kanoa's Sea: The Sea of Aegir (1 sub-board)
You'll need the HM: Surf to get past here. The Sea of Aegir is a vast distance to cover, and it might seem daunting. While not so pretty a color as its tropical counterparts, Aegir is still beautiful in its own right, with many shades of dark green and purple in its waters. Swimmers are plentiful here as well as the typical Pokémon of the sea. Surf east and you'll eventually find yourself at Rosenburg Island.

You have been surfing due east for days, it seems, and you're beginning to get the tiniest bit anxious that you've taken a wrong turn… but just as you begin losing hope, a tiny island springs out of practically nowhere-- welcome to Rosenburg Island. It's a curious area in Kanoa, that's for sure, if the ice crystals beginning to dance around the air is any testimony to that… Trainers will face Sealla here for their seventh Badge; the Hail Badge.
